This error occurs when you try to access your account information or when you try to log into your account on the internet. This error can be annoying and frustrating because you cannot access the services properly.
The problem can be caused by an issue with your device system. If the system is in trouble, then it is possible to stop sending power to the thermostat. Another possible reason is that you live at a very high or low temperature place so this code appears. To fix this error, you need to try a few solutions.
The Google E106 Error usually happens on Nest Thermostat E and Nest Learning Thermostat. It occurs because there is a miswiring on your thermostat, there is more than one wire on the thermostat connector, or there were recent issues or upgrades made to your home’s electrical system.
The first thing you can do is to restart your thermostat. If you have Nest Thermostat E and 3rd Gen of Nest Learning Thermostat, you can do it by pressing the ring and holding it down until the screen turns off. You can let go of the ring and the Nest Logo will appear when it begins to start up. The screen will turn on as it finishes. If you have a 2nd Gen of Nest Learning Thermostat you need to press the ring and hold it down until the screen turns off. You can let go of the ring. Then, you need to press and release the ring to turn it back on and complete the restart process. The Nest logo will appear when it begins to start up. The screen will turn on as it finishes.
You can check your wire. If the E106 error code appears, it means you need to check W2 wire on your thermostat. Make sure you turn off the power system on your thermostat before checking the wire. Check that there is only one wire in the connector and the right wire is in the right connector.
