One of the most common errors that you might encounter when you try to use Google's services is Google e116 error. This error occurs when you try to access your account information or when you try to log into your account on the internet. This error can be annoying and frustrating because you cannot access the services properly.
The problem can be caused by an issue with your device system. If the system is in trouble then it is possible to stop sending power to the thermostat. Another possible reason is that you live at a very high or low temperature place so this code appears. To fix this error, you need to try a few solutions.
Turn off the main breaker that controls your heating and cooling systems and the main fuse box in your home. Grab the ring that is on your thermostat and pull it off its base. Remove any Y wires (y, y1 or y2) that are connected to the thermostat’s base. If you have two Rc wires and one Rh wire, remove both of them.
Wrap the end of each wire that you pulled with electrical tape, so that the wires will not touch any other wires. When you touch exposed wires, you can cause a short circuit and damage your thermostat.
Make sure that the wires behind the display are pressed down so that they do not get in the way when you reattach it.
Simply press the display onto the base and release it until it clicks into place.
Turn the power to your Nest thermostat back on again, and check to see if it turns on automatically without showing an alert.
