Google Nest error E30

Turn off the power to your heating and cooling system by turning off the main breaker or putting a fuse in the fuse box. If you are connecting wires to a thermostat, you should turn off the power at the main breaker or fuse box that comes with your appliance. If you are installing hardware that requires power, you should disconnect it. This will help you and your equipment to be safe during the installation process.

Remove any wires that are connected to the Y-wires (Y, Y1, Y2) in the thermostat base.  If you have 2 Rc or 2 Rh wires, take out the Rc wire. Wrap the ends of the wires that you have removed with electrical tape so that they do not touch any other wires in your home. When you touch any exposed wires, you may cause a short circuit or damage your heating and cooling system.

When you remove the wires that are attached to your thermostat, make sure that the wires that are behind it are pushed down so that they will not get in the way when you reattach the display. Press and hold the display until it clicks into the base of the thermostat. Turn off the power to your system and check if the Nest thermostat still works.
