Another possible reason is that you live at a very high or low temperature place so this code appears. To fix this error, you need to try a few solutions.
The Google N253 error usually pops up a message “No power to W1” on the thermostat screen. This error is caused by the thermostat’s wire being in the wrong position and you need to put it back to the right position.
You need to check which wire has the problem. Then, you need to pull off the thermostat’s screen and check the wire. Make sure there is only one wire in the connector and the right wire is in its position. If the wire is not in its position, you can check the wiring diagram from Google online compatibility checker. Do not forget to turn it off when you are doing this step. Make sure you put safety first.
