Are you having trouble using the ITV Hub app? Several users have reported the error '6' that prevents them from using ITV Hub.

Itv is a state-owned television channel in the United Kingdom. It is the flagship television channel of ITV plc, a subsidiary of the media conglomerate ITV plc.

The channel was launched on 22 September 1955 as simply "ITV", taking its name from the "Independent Television" network, which had been launched two years earlier.

ITV is a national broadcaster available via terrestrial television (including Freeview), satellite television, cable television and IPTV. ITV plc (originally Associated-Rediffusion) was founded in January 1955 by a consortium led by John Trigger (later Lord Bicester), and including David Sainsbury and Lord King (later Baron King).

The new company had no shareholders of its own, two founders being large shareholders in the former ATV Company, a commercial subsidiary of the ITA which provided programs for ITV's predecessor, the Independent Television Authority (IBA).

As well as using the name "ITV", the new company also used the name "Associated-Rediffusion" for its scheduled broadcasting service.

The ITA played a key role in the creation of ITV on 20 September 1955 by acquiring ATV's leaseholds that were not already held by other parties and leasing them back to ATV.

Verified solution

The new company was initially involved in the production of programs and in the distribution of reruns and archive material from the United States, with support from the Independent Television Authority (ITA). One of the most common errors is Itv Hub Error Code 006. This error  causes the application to display an error message.

This error code is most commonly caused by a problem with the application itself, but can also be caused by other problems with the computer or network. In some cases, this error code may appear when a device is not properly connected to the Itv Hub software.

For example, if you have a faulty or disconnected network cable or port, this could cause an Itv Hub Error Code 006 to appear.

To fix this error, you need to try a few solutions

First is to Download and install QuickTime for Windows from Apple's website. If you do not have QuickTime installed on your computer, it is highly recommended that you install it now.

Restart your computer and launch Itv Hub for Windows again. If the problem persists after restarting your computer and launching Itv Hub again, try using another network cable to connect your computer directly to the internet router (not through an adapter).

Make sure that there are no obstructions between your computer and the internet router.

If you are still experiencing this error code, try restarting your computer and then opening Itv Hub again.

Try using a different browser (such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox) to access Itv Hub for Windows. This may resolve the problem for some users who experience problems with Internet Explorer on their computers.

If you are still experiencing problems after following these steps, try using another browser to access Itv Hub for Windows.

If these methods didn’t help your problem, we suggest you contact the Itv Hub Customer Service.
