When this occurs, you can normally run the dishwasher in a normal fashion, and the water temperature sensor works normally. The water is heated up but the fan keeps turning on. It could happen that the drain pump continues to operate for several seconds during the last 30 minutes of the cycle and then registers the code F02 shortly after the pump and fan stop working. It may be that the temperature sensor or the auxiliary wires connecting it to the breaker are not properly connected. You will see the Intake/Drain light flashing.
F02 error code indicates that a temperature sensor or its electrical connection leads are short-circuited or are not firmly connected. If this fault is registered, the heating will not start up, and there will be no way for your water to be heated or filtered.
Check that the temperature sensor and the lead that connects the temperature sensor to the water supply are not faulty. At 68°F (20°C), the temperature sensor should be able to conduct current with a resistance of about 14.9k. Check the plug connections to the temperature sensor and temperature sensor leads to see if there is any damage to the temperature sensor or its connections. If you suspect that the temperature sensor R30 is defective, replace it.
Try testing the resistive value of the temp sensor with a multimeter and see if it is really close to what should be. This is a recommended reading in the manual for NTC sensors. Check that the connector you are using fits securely.
You can get inside the computer by taking apart the door that leads to the PCB, and removing all connectors and cleaning the contacts with alcohol. It would have been very difficult to follow all the wires that go from the bottom of the box to the top of the PCB and test them for continuity. Still, try your best to make sure that the connections between the wires look good.
If all else fails, you may want to reset the appliance to factory settings so that you can get to the wiring and make sure that there are no loose wires or connectors. You will need to follow the instructions in your manual for resetting the appliance. In addition, try cleaning out any filter areas or pipes if they are clogged with food particles, grime or lint.
