The most common error coming from a Miele coffee machine is an error f82, the cause of this error is the brew unit has not been sufficiently cleaned.

To fix this problem you might need a few solutions.

What you have to do is clean the brew unit manually by moving parts of the brew unit are lubricated. Cleaning agents will damage the brew unit.

You have to clean the brew unit by hand with warm water without using a cleaning agent. Remove and clean the brew unit once a week. Also clean the area below the brew unit once a week.

The brew unit must be cleaned manually in addition to the automatic cleaning.

A cleaning tablet may be required to degrease the brew unit even if the cleaning cartridge is installed.

You have to open the appliance door and remove the water container, then press the button on the bottom of the handle of the brew unit;

While pressing the button, turn the handle forward. Then, Pull the brew unit sideways. Then slide it out forward.

Tilt the brew unit forward

When you have removed the brew unit, do not change the position of the handle on the brew unit. Otherwise, the brew unit cannot be inserted.

Clean the brew unit by hand under warm running water without using a cleaning agent. Wipe any coffee residue off the filters. One filter is located in the funnel.

The other filter can be found to the left of the funnel. Dry the funnel to prevent ground coffee sticking to it the next time a coffee is made. Clean the inside of the coffee machine. Use your vacuum cleaner to remove dry ground coffee residue.
