Their air conditioners are known for being efficient and they are popular because of their quiet operation. However, Samsung air conditioners can encounter errors when you try to use them. This error can occur if your device has an issue with its power supply or it can occur if there is a problem with the actual AC unit itself.
Test to see if the EEV wire is connected properly to the indoor unit PCB. In the case that the EEV coil is not inserted correctly, replace it. Check if the coil of the EEV is inserted into the main body of the unit correctly. When you press the reset key on your outdoor unit, check if the same error still happens when you reset the corresponding indoor unit. If the corresponding unit is displaying an error message saying CLOSE, switch to the corresponding indoor unit. If you're experiencing an error saying OPEN, please shut down the power of the corresponding indoor unit first.
If nothing troubles you in any way with any of the above checks, then simply replace the EEV in the corresponding indoor unit. And since replacing the EEV of an indoor unit causes you to have to manually collect the refrigerant in the system, it is important to do the above tasks carefully.
Faulty wiring can also cause the error code to appear. Test the wiring by switching off the AC unit and check if there is a corresponding fault on the wiring. If you find any faults, fix them first before replacing anything else. In order to know which part of the wiring is faulty, you can test each wire individually. If a particular wire is bad, it will be apparent when you disconnect it from the rest of the circuit. You should do this on all sides of your AC unit to check if one side works while the other does not.
The temperature inside the system should be checked by setting up a thermometer in each room where you want to place your air conditioner so that you can get an idea of how much energy it consumes while running at different temperatures inside your home. This will help determine whether there is something wrong with your system’s fan or not.
You can try to factory reset the AC unit first and check if the error still appears on your screen. If you see this error, then switch off the power of both indoor and outdoor units. Then wait for a few minutes until it cools down before restarting them again. You can also replace your compressor unit if you find that there is an issue with it or with its wiring.
