In some cases, it is necessary to restart your PlayStation. Restarting your PlayStation helps you solve problems with unknown errors, crashing games, and apps.
Restart your PlayStation using the Power button
- Select Power from the function screen or quick menu, and then select Turn off.
Alternatively, you can press and hold the Power button on the console for at least 7 seconds (until the system beeps twice) to turn off the PlayStation completely.
- Press the Power button on the PlayStation console to turn the PlayStation back on.
Restart your PlayStation by unplugging the power cable
- Turn off the PlayStation by pressing and holding the Power button on the front of the console for about 7 seconds until it's shut down completely.
- Unplug the power cable from the console and wait at least 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.
- Plug the power cable back in.
- Turn on the PlayStation by pressing the Power button.
