If you experience errors while using Withings products, or if you are having problems connecting your devices to an application on your smartphone or tablet, then you might receive error code 205 on your device's screen. This error can be caused by an issue with the device or if something is not right with how you use it. You will get an error message when the device is trying to read your heart rate. To fix this error, try a few different methods.

If you are not in the 40-180 bpm range that the BPM device is certified to measure, you might not get the best results. This error message is caused when your heart rate is below the standard range that the heart rate monitors are certified to measure.

Make sure that you have properly placed the blood pressure monitor on your arm and that it is properly tightened, with the cylinder facing in towards the artery. Note that the BPM+ device supports arm sizes that are between 9 and 13.8 inches (22 to 35 cm) in diameter. Because of the differences in measuring devices, arm sizes that are outside of this range can cause inaccurate measurements or even failed measurements.

Make sure that you are sitting comfortably in a comfortable position with your feet flat on the floor and that you are resting your arms on a table during the measurement. If you rest your arm across a table or a support, your arm will be approximately the same length as your heart.

If you are standing still or if you are standing on a stool, make sure that you remain still and that you are not talking or coughing during the measurement.

It is also possible to get measurement errors because of low batteries in your device. If you still receive an error message after doing all that is suggested, please try replacing the batteries.

Lastly, try contacting the company's customer service to resolve the error message. Contact Withings customer service by calling their customer service number or visiting their website. Eventually, you will need to send the message to the company's customer service department to find out what is wrong. They will help you figure out what you need to do to fix the error, or at least recommend another way to do things.
