Error Code: tE

tE error code shows there is a problem in the temperature sensors. In the Kenmore Elite Dryers, the tE1 and tE2 error codes show that there are two types of dryers that are defective. The result may be that the dryer is under-heated and does not dry properly, or that it is overheated. In the Kenmore Elite Manual, tE1 and tE2 are the codes that show that the dryer is running. Unplug the dryer and call a service centre for maintenance.

Error Code: PS

PS error code shows that there is no gas flow to the dryer. The following PS error codes might appear when using the latest version of Kenmore Elite Electric Dryers. They show that the dryer’s power cord is not plugged properly. When your dryer is in use, the power cord should provide 240 volts of power source. PS code also appears when you have unstable power in the dryer.

Error Code: AF

The AF error code shows that there is a problem in the airflow. In the manual book, there are four ways to troubleshoot a dry-airflow problem: Clean the dryer, and make sure that it connects the outside exhaust to the dryer. You ensure that the ventilation is not blocked.

If the problems keep happening after you run the steps of troubleshooting, please contact the Kenmore Service Centre to get more information. Use the dryer properly and read all the safety suggestions in the manual book.
